Sustainability Implementation Model

Making a strategic commitment to sustainability as a base business strategy dramatically improves the likelihood of sustained success.

Sustainability is maximizing the efficient use of your people, improving processes, all with regard to your environmental impact without compromising product or service quality.  This results in improving the bottom line.

People + Process + Planet = Profit

When sustainability is strategically based, management driven, employee supported, and stakeholder/customer focused, it’s a winner. However, without management’s focus, a change of this magnitude simply becomes relegated to another “program-of-the-month.” Its power is lost and the employees become disillusioned with their management.

Key Areas

Implementation Model

Level 1 businesses on the implementation model are those that are not interested or not thinking about sustainability.

Level 2 are businesses and organizations that are performing assessments and beginning to strategically plan for the integration of sustainability throughout their business.

Level 3 businesses are implementing their plan by developing employees throughout the organization and reducing waste and errors through process improvement.

Level 4 businesses are engaged in their communities, are developing loyal employees, customers and stakeholders.

Level 5 businesses are transformed.  Every new employee that is hired, process that is initiated and every new customer that is gained is done with attention to maximizing the efficient and effective use of all resources that produces results

Our Efforts

At level 1, businesses are not interested or are not thinking about sustainability. At Level 2, businesses and organizations are performing assessments and beginning to strategically plan for the integration of sustainability throughout their business. After performing an assessment, Aspire Consulting begins their efforts at level 3.

Level 3 businesses are implementing their plan by developing employees throughout the organization and reducing waste and errors through process improvement.

One of our core values is ongoing development and training for our employees. Each employee is reimbursed for a minimum of 12 education and training days a year, and most take full advantage of it. We have also added additional days and dollars for extraordinary training or development that will greatly enhance the provision of services, align with our mission, and engage our employees.
We are committed to look at least one process every quarter to determine if there is a more efficient way of completing it. With this commitment, we have realized great time and resource savings.
The simple environmental things to reduce waste are always part of our employee’s daily life at home and at work, and we encourage this in our communities and for customers.

Level 4 businesses are engaged in their communities, are developing loyal employees, customers and stakeholders.

While we value our new customers, we take great pride that more than half our current business comes from repeat customers or direct referrals from previous customers.
All employees are required, and gladly participate in community groups and service organizations on a volunteer basis regularly. We provide in kind services to community organizations.
All of employees and subcontractors have been with the organization since inception in 2006.

Level 5 businesses are transformed. Every new employee that is hired and process that is initiated as well as every new customer that is gained is done with attention to maximizing the efficient and effective use of all resources that produces results.

We are committed to bringing the idea of business sustainability to not only our customers but communities, and those we do not physically touch or know.
One of the principals coauthored a book about sustainability that is widely available to support our efforts.
